How Do I Get Proof of Signature (Signature Certificate)?

After a document is fully signed in Concord, you can download a Signature Certificate that provides legal proof of all signatures and a complete audit trail.

How to Download the Signature Certificate

  1. Open a fully signed document in Concord
  2. Click the Export dropdown menu at the top of the document
  3. Select Download Signature Certificate

A PDF file will download containing the complete signature record.

What the Certificate Contains

The Signature Certificate includes:

  • Number of signature fields in the document
  • Total page count of the document
  • Number of public versions created
  • Complete audit trail — a chronological record of all signer events, including:

- When each signer was invited

- When each signer opened the document

- When each signer signed

- IP addresses and timestamps for each action

Important Notes

  • The Signature Certificate is only available after the document is fully signed by all required parties
  • The certificate is not automatically sent to Dropbox or Google Drive when those integrations are enabled — you must download it separately
  • The certificate is not included when a signed PDF is emailed — it must be downloaded from within Concord
  • The certificate is available in English only
  • Cancelled signatures: If signatures are cancelled on a document, Concord does not generate a cancellation certificate. Cancelling signatures simply reverts the document to the Review stage.
