How Do I Use Pre-Set Signature Blocks?
Pre-Set Signature Blocks automatically generate a signature block at the bottom of your document. This is the easiest way to handle signatures in Concord — no manual field placement needed.
How to Enable Pre-Set Signature Blocks
You can enable Pre-Set Signature Blocks in two ways:
- From the document: Scroll to the bottom of the document and toggle Use Pre-Set Signature Block to on
- From the Signers panel: Open Advanced Settings in the Signers panel and toggle Use Pre-Set Signature Block to on
How It Works
- Enable Pre-Set Signature Blocks using one of the methods above
- Configure your signers in the Signers panel (enter each signer's email address)
- Each signer's name automatically appears in the signature block at the bottom of the document
- When ready, click Request Signature — the signer receives an email with a link to sign
- When a signer signs, their signature appears in the block automatically
That's it. You do not need to manually add or position signature fields when using this feature.
Can I Still Add Manual Signature Fields?
Yes. Even with Pre-Set Signature Blocks enabled, you can optionally add additional signature fields elsewhere in the document using the Fields panel. This is useful if you need a signature or initials in a specific location (for example, at the bottom of each page) in addition to the main signature block.
Custom Signature Block Layouts
If you need a custom layout — for example, two signers side by side in columns — you can create your own signature block using a table:
- Enter edit mode and position your cursor where you want the signature block
- Click the table icon in the toolbar and select the number of columns and rows you need
- Open the Fields panel from the right-hand sidebar
- Under Fillable By, select the signer
- Drag and drop signature fields (Signature, Full Name, Title, Company) into individual table cells
- Repeat for each signer in their respective column
For compact vertical spacing, use a single-row table and stack fields within each cell separated by line breaks.
Note: If Pre-Set Signature Blocks are enabled, creating custom blocks is optional — the pre-set block at the bottom of the document is sufficient for most use cases.
